MAMBILA PLATEAU NATURE'S WONDER
The Mambila plateau is truly nature's gift of the nation, it's a place to behold. It is one of the several tourist attractions in Nigeria. This beautiful scene shares boundary with Cameroon and is situated in Gembu, Sardauna Local Government Area which is the southeastern part of Taraba state. It is home to chappai waddi (Gang) mountain which is considered as the highest peak in Nigeria and West Africa with an average height of about 7,936ft above sea level.
Furthermore, Mambila plateau is a high grassland plateau with an average elevation of 5,000ft above sea level, this currently makes it the highest plateau in Nigeria. Indeed this is an intriguing perimeter for mountain climbers, hikers and adventurous seekers. It is haven for Nigeria and West Africa largest tea plantation which is situated in Kakara town and also the largest game reserve Gashaka/Gumpti game reserve in Nigeria.
The atmospheric condition of it's environ is cool and cozy with day time temperatures hardly ever exceeding 25°C making it one of the coolest region in Nigeria.
